ORBIS ORBIS is an international sight-saving charity working to cure and prevent avoidable blindness across the developing world. The charity’s main focus is on training, as it believes that empowering local hospitals to tackle blindness in their own communities is the best sustainable solution to eliminate unnecessary blindness. Since it was established in 1982, ORBIS has trained over 154,000 medical professionals in 85 countries giving local eye care specialists essential sight saving skills. The charity is probably best known for its Flying Eye Hospital - a converted DC-10 passenger plane, fully converted into a mobile medical training facility, complete with classroom, operating theatre and the latest audiovisual technology.

The British Red Cross The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.
Bobath Wales Bobath Children's Therapy Centre Wales provides specialist Bobath therapy to children in Wales who have cerebral palsy. Bobath therapy consists of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. Children are referred to the Centre by their consultant paediatrician and we accept children regardless of the severity of their disability. Although the brain damage that occurs is permanent and there is no cure available, Bobath therapy makes a real and positive difference to children in Wales who have cerebral palsy. This year the Bobath Centre needs to raise over £800,000 to keep the Centre open and see every child who needs us.
